Outdoor Rabbit Boarding

At Posh Bunny Retreat located in a quiet residential area of North Leeds, West Yorkshire, your outdoor rabbits/bunnies can enjoy a comfortable and peaceful stay in our spacious hutches. The hutches are located outside which creates a natural environment for outdoor rabbits. I have seven rabbits of my own so my property is a haven for rabbits.
Note: I am no longer providing outdoor boarding for large breed rabbits
Outdoor Rabbit Boarding includes:
- twice daily feeding
- unlimited quality hay provided
- fresh water daily
- daily cleaning of feeding bowls
- daily exercise - fun, playtime!
- cleaning bedding & changing litter
- daily health checks
- lots of pampering, love, attention and cuddles!
Accommodation
The outdoor accommodation available is 4ft, 5ft, and 6ft luxury hand crafted hutches which are very spacious. All hutches are lined with vinyl flooring, fitted with bolts & padlocks and night shutters. Click here to view accommodation. Your rabbit will be provided with quality straw/hay for bedding and quality woodshavings in their litter trays.
If your rabbit is staying with us during the winter months they will be provided with a heat pad and their water bottles protected from frost.
I like to prepare the accommodation to how your rabbit likes it to make them feel at home. Please detail their requirements on the care form.
Bonded rabbits will be given priority in the 6ft hutches.
Food
Please bring a supply of your rabbits usual dry food with you, to avoid stomach upsets. Unlimited quality hay will be provided each day. Please provide your own vegetables/fruit/herbs or leave additional payment for fresh to be purchased.
Exercise, Fun, & Playtime
Exercise, Fun, & Playtime
A fun part of your rabbits stay, is they can enjoy a supervised run about in my large garden which is fully rabbit proof (weather permitting). Visit the posh bunny retreat gallery to view the happy guests. Your rabbit will also have access to a garden run for exercise (weather permitting).
Rabbits will be provided with tunnels, hideaways and toys. If your rabbit has a favourite toy or tunnel, etc feel free to bring it along.
Health & Hygiene
All accommodation is fully disinfected between visitors. The hutch is fully cleaned out each day and Litter tray cleaned out twice daily, more if necessary. Bedding is regularly renewed during their stay.
I carry out daily health checks. From Spring until the end of Summer it is recommended that your rabbits are treated with Rearguard or equivalent to reduce the risk of flystrike. Although I carry out routine checks, I monitor your rabbits throughout the day to ensure they are happy and healthy.
Your rabbit must be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD). If you live in a semi-rural or rural location we require your rabbit to have been vaccinated every 6 months for myxomatosis. Please bring a copy of your rabbits vaccination certificate with you.
We require that both male and female outdoor rabbits are neutered/spayed unless they are too young to be neutered/spayed at the time of their stay.

Our facilities are not limited to visitors from the Leeds area, as we have had visitors from other Yorkshire regions.
